Position Title: Construction Labourer (10 positions)
Location: Markham, Ontario
Job Type: 4 to 8 months contract with full-time hours in most weeks in Summer & Fall
GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Construction Labourer is responsible for the field-level scope associated with the various projects undertaken by CSCL. To achieve this objective, the Construction Labourer’s primary responsibilities are:
- Assist with the completion of tasks related to construction projects. Examples of field tasks are as follows:
o Cathodic Protection Installations
o Line digs and anode well excavations
o Manual Labour
o Capital Construction Projects.
o Corrosion Inhibitor casing projects.
o Technical equipment installation.
o Rectifier Installations
- Assist with the completion of tasks related to field testing of AC mitigation projects.
- Maintenance and operational function of assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly and willing to routinely work outdoors.
- Should have solid hands-on technical capabilities, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel, and work overtime.
- General understanding of electrical circuits and theory.
- Good initiative, adaptable, flexible, and team player.
- Truck use on off road terrain will be an asset.
- Any cathodic protection background will be an asset.
