We are seeking hardworking and dedicated individuals to join our team as Labourers for a bridge rehabilitation project in Western Newfoundland. This project offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople and supervisors in various tasks related to bridge rehabilitation.
- Perform manual labor such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Operate hand and power tools, including jackhammers.
- Assist in the assembly and installation of bridge components.
- Work will include setting up and dismantling concrete forms.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or related field preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is an asset.
- Experience operating a jackhammer is required.
- Experience with concrete forms is preferred.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
