We are looking for a ConstructionSite Managerto support our business growth in Toronto. The ConstructionSite Managerwill be reporting directly to the Managing Director. The successful candidate has an extensive hands-on experience in a residential and commercial construction environment. They will also be a self-motivated person who is a team player, and able to take ownership of their assigned responsibilities, be a hands-on problem solver, and be able to build/sustain relationships with the suppliers, trades, and the project team, with energy, drive, and total commitment to design excellence.

How you will contribute:
- Lead and complete construction projects and tasks within the agreed-upon deadlines throughout the project.
- Ensure that all work is carried out to the project specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers, sub-contractors and labourers.
- Complete general labour tasks on-site as needed.
- Responsible for receiving and verifying quantities of all material delivery.
- Ensure that the quality of work completed meets our high company standards.
- Ensure all Construction Site staff maintain a daily diary of construction activities and prepare daily progress reports.
- Review and approve contractor's construction schedule updates and requests for payment prior to submittal.
- Provide evaluation of contractor claims and participate in their resolution.
- Build relationships with subcontractors, key suppliers, and other companies that support our operations.
- Possess the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to overall deadlines.
- Make sure our company policies and procedures are being always followed to.
- Enforce Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations, in addition to company safety policies and procedures.
- Be able to efficiently take each project from permit applications through to construction completion.
What you bring to the table:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in the commercial and residential construction industry, at least 5 years of which are as a Site Manager
- Very strong knowledge in all relevant areas of construction and understanding of various design and construction methods including new builds, preservation, A & A projects, and infrastructure.
- Must have a valid JHSC certification, or the ability to obtain within the first 12 months.
- Have your own tools and be able to self-perform work.
- Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills.
- Have the attention to detail that each project requires.
- Experienced working with contractors, sub-contractors, and trades.
- Reliable, hardworking, strong work ethic and an ability to work as part of a team.
- You should be familiar with OBC, LEED design and Construction, and Construction Health and Safety standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel to Construction Site locations.
