Construction Worker

Construction workers provide assistance to operators and crew members on various construction projects. Types of projects include: culvert installation, tree clearing, paving, and concrete forming.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Complete work/tasks as directed by site supervisor.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
• Assist fellow workers in the safe operation of equipment and backing up of trucks.
• Operate small handheld tools including quick cut saws, plate packers, pumps, jack hammers (Training for all equipment can and will be provided)
• Responsible to ensure all tools needed for each task are present and in working order.
• Assist with traffic control when required (training will be provided)
• Ensure all tasks are conducted with the utmost safety in mind.
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs and navigate construction job site terrain
• Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles
• Company will provide training including: Working at Heights, Fall Protection, Chain Saw, First Aid and CPR

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid G license and clean driving record preferred
• High school diploma preferred
• 2+ years’ construction industry experience preferred
• Comfort working in busy construction environment with extreme weather fluctuations

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
