TerraSense Analytics has an opportunity for a detail-oriented Controller. The role would best suit an experienced accountant who can work independently. Duties are broad in scope, ranging from supporting strategic pricing decisions to preparing year-end working papers and on-boarding new employees. The Controller position is the head of finance at TerraSense supervising two bookkeepers and an administrative assistant.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- CPA (BC) accounting designation
- University degree in related major (accounting, business, etc.)
- Several years of accounting work experience
- Advanced Excel financial modelling skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administering share option plans
- General HR and business management
- SR&ED claim preparation
- Managing a small finance and administration department
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Implementation of accounting or financial modelling software applications
- Implementation of internal controls and business processes
- Multi-currency accounting
- Capital budgeting and NPV analysis
- Cash management and forecasting.

TerraSense is a small team environment where employees need to cover a wide range of responsibilities. The Controller role is no different. The Controller must be willing to present financial matters at Board or investor meetings and then complete tasks like authorizing EFT’s or updating the cashflow forecast model. Duties are varied, and the Controller’s skillsets will be challenged.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
For High Level Security Clearance Application (Necessary for Employment with Terra Sense)
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
- Have lived in Canada for the last 10 years, AND must disclose any stays out of the country longer than 6 consecutive months.
- Dual citizenship must be disclosed to hiring manager.
COMPENSATION
- $110,000 - $120,000
- "Okanagan Relocation Top Up"
- Hybrid employees are eligible to receive a 10% top up paid quarterly.
