Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled, organized and reliable Conveyancer to join our 100 Mile House team. We are located in the Cariboo region of British Columbia.
The Conveyancer will be responsible for handling residential property transactions such as sales, purchases, refinances, and title transfers, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. The Conveyancer will be supporting one full time and one part time lawyer.
Requirements: -
The ideal candidate will have minimum three years of experience as a Conveyancer, strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities. A Grade 12 Diploma is required. Candidates with the Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate are preferred.
Duties: -
Prepare legal documents such as contracts and deeds - Conduct title searches and analyze property records - Coordinate with clients, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction - File and record legal documents with the appropriate authorities - Communicate with clients to provide updates on the progress of their transactions - Maintain organized files and documentation for each transaction - Prepare closing and reporting documents.
Skills: -
Strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficient with BC Online, LTSA and Lawyer Done Deal - Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple transactions simultaneously - Analytical mindset to review and interpret legal documents - Customer service-oriented approach to ensure client satisfaction - Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation - Familiarity with filing procedures and requirements.
