On-Call Casual Cooks Coquitlam School District invitesapplications for on-call casual cooks. As the third largest school district inthe province we are located within a 40-minute drive from downtownVancouver. The school district has apopulation of 32,000 students with approximately 4,300 teaching, administrative,managerial and support staff.Casualcooks report to the Principal/designate and provides support to the supervisingcook/culinary assistant or chef instructor. Dutiesinclude: Baking Preparing and serving hot and cold meals Cleaning of kitchen, cafeteria and dishes Operating cash register, kitchen equipment and dishwasher Monitoring and assisting in restocking and maintaining supply levels Balance, complete and report cash and sales\ Maintain a positive rapport with students, staff and other facility users Gives direction to students who are assisting/working in the cafeteriaThe successful applicant must have Grade 10 plus Food SafeLevel 1, knowledge of food inventory and ordering and worked in the hospitalityindustry for a minimum of two years or have completed cooking courses in arecognized institution. For on-call cook positions, you must be available betweenthe hours of 6:00am and 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, while school is in session.We offer $26.22 per hour, plus 16% inlieu of benefits.
