Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cook. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing three meals a day at an Independent Living seniors residence. If you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working with seniors we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Food preparation and cooking three meals per day for 30 residents
- Meal assembly and plating dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation / Food ordering
- Adhere to all health and safety and food safety regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Salary: $22.50-$24.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
