FUNCTION & DUTIES:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources (Talent Acquisition), the incumbent must, in particular:
· Assume assigned responsibilities in the recruitment (planning, selection, administrative hiring, onboarding, probationary period), as well as retention of staff.
· Counsel managers throughout the recruitment process.
· Participate in career and future fairs within Nunavik and elsewhere in Canada.
· Apply and interpret the collective agreements for support staff, professionals and teachers.
· Advise managers on the application of collective agreements, labour laws, policies, by-laws and directives of the Board.
· Document grievance and arbitration files.
· Collaborate with the Training Officer to identify training needs.
· Participate in all professional improvement committees and manage the associated budgets.
· Participate in analyzing and identifying professional improvement and training needs.
· Participate in the Board Research committee.
· Coordinate and oversee the Employee Assistance Program.
· Coordinate the implementation of a Board-wide offboarding program.
· Analyze salary insurance claims, prepare requests for medical expertise and manage claims at CNESST.
· Any other tasks required by the Assistant Director of Human Resources (Talent Acquisition).
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study certifying a minimum three-year university program or hold a senior executive or senior staff position in a school board for which an undergraduate degree is required under the minimum qualifications.
· Five (5) years of relevant experience.
