Corporate Actions Admin

Our client, a large custodial bank in downtown Toronto, is currently hiring for a Corporate Actions Admin to join their team!

The Corporate Actions team is responsible for providing a) complete, timely and accurate notification of corporate action events to all clients; b) complete, timely and accurate processing of client instructions; c) complete, timely and accurate payment of proceeds into client accounts d) complete, timely and accurate administration of client's corporate action profile.

Key Accountabilities

• Research and validate information received on Voluntary and Mandatory with Choice Corporate Action event from Depository /transfer agent /issuer/lawyers . Prepare and send event notification via Corporate Action electronic system . Ensure client have received notification with 24 hours of receipt of information from Depository .
• Ensure to send confirmation of receipt of instruction from client within 2 hours of receiving it. Solicit uninstructed position on Voluntary Corporate Action Events .
• Balance Corporate Action file and Tender clients instruction on expiry date.
• Process tax and payment on entitlement date into client’s account.
• Raise any client issues immediately to your team leader/supervisor and ensure resolution is provided with 24 hours.

Qualifications:

• Financial Services background (work or education)
• 1+ years’ experience –in processing Corporate Actions event and /or entitlement processing
• STRONG english communication skills (reading and writing documents)
• Excel experience- v-lookups and pivot tables

Skills /Knowledge of / experience of :

• Corporate Action Events
• Good Excel / Word skills.
• Exposure to publishing SWIFT Messages
• TI Courses, Canadian Securities Course, Corporate Trust is an asset
• Excellent customer service skills
