Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact

The Creative Marketing Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering digital media to support the growth and expansion of company products and services around the world. As a core member of the Marketing team, the Creative Marketing Specialist will own the creation of online/printed literature, presentations, signage, imagery, social posts, GIFs, tradeshow banners and the upkeep of Kinectrics’ social media channels. In addition, bring a technical skill set using digital marketing and design software programs.

You will play a key part ensuring alignment with Kinectrics’ global branding standards, communication strategies and digital marketing initiatives.

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Marketing and Sales, the Marketing department is seeking a Creative Marketing Specialist. Duties may include (but is not limited to):

  • Using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and other digital design tools for creation of web, electronic and print media.
  • Creating images, copy and posting on Kinectrics’ social media accounts.
  • Design and update graphics, layouts and illustrations for digital and printed materials including brochures, presentations, advertisements, tradeshow banners, signage/posters, illustrations, and social media posts.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, print/digital advertisements, facility signage, press releases and other promotional materials as required.
  • Work with internal departments to collect approved content for marketing materials.
  • Conceptualizing and executing designs from a blank canvas state.
  • Coordinate and work with outside agencies for final production.
  • Working with photographer and video companies to create content and owning Kinectrics’ media library.
  • Develop clear, concise copy for social media to accompany imagery.
  • Continuously work to improve current processes, guidelines, and global brand standards.
  • Produce production-ready final deliverables according to specs for print and digital execution.
  • Support proposal preparation, template design/graphics work and proposal documentation as required.
  • Creating and setting up paid ad campaigns.
  • Other duties as required.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Portfolio to showcase your work as a designer (can provide a link to a website, Instagram, behance, attachment, etc).
  • Post-secondary background in design, marketing/digital media or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of previous experience. Experience must be highly concentrated in graphic design, digital media and social.
  • Skills and understanding of typography, layout design, photo editing, hierarchy, and colour theory.
  • Experience ideating and creating design work or digital campaigns for social media or similar (LinkedIn, X, YouTube).
  • High-level of proficiency with graphic design software packages and technology (Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, In-Design, After Effects).
  • Strong experience creating digital display graphics for multi-channel promotional campaigns, including building out design templates and graphics, supporting a wide range of initiatives across app, web, CRM, social, paid acquisition, brochures, tradeshow booths, etc.
  • Ability to adapt writing styles for various purposes for different media requirements and for different audiences.
  • Advanced knowledge of all pre-press requirements.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and a high level of proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop strong working relationships and to effectively interface with all levels of management, operational staff, customers, and external vendors.
