What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Provide video and photography services for Destination Ontario's Creative Services team. Developing and maintaining creative assets for marketing campaigns and internal/industry communications.
• Manage and maintain digital assets in accordance with DO's visual guidelines, continually enhancing digital asset search functions within DO's Digital asset management system while identifying gaps for improvement.
• Coordinate timely additions to the digital asset management system. Monitor system access requests, communicate with users, and recommend improvements for better service and content quality.
• Assist digital asset management system users with searches, resolve issues, and provide training/tools for easier and faster image searching. Respond to image requests promptly, monitor trends and inappropriate use, and implement process improvements based on user feedback.
• Liaise with the digital asset management system host to maintain consistent service levels. Collaborate with Destination Ontario management, staff, industry, and advertising agencies for the design and production of creative materials, ensuring alignment with Destination Ontario Brand Guidelines. Advise on creative and technical solutions, staying updated on industry trends and technology to foresee and address potential issues.
• Assist with Creative Services budget tracking, including photography productions, talent, printing, and licensing costs.
• Coordinate with freelance photographers/videographers, ensuring submissions align with Destination Ontario's external agency guidelines. Edit short photography and video submissions for inclusion in the digital asset management system. Where necessary, accompany photographers on shoots to advise on creative direction while maintaining positive relations with any relevant stakeholders.

How do I qualify?

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• You have knowledge of digital image and video editing methods and practices, graphic design and production processes/techniques
• You have knowledge of and experience working with related hardware (digital cameras, 360 cameras, projectors, etc.) and audio-visual equipment (OHPs, sound recorders, amplifiers, speakers, etc.)
• You have knowledge of photographic and video techniques as well as current trends, technologies and best practices in the area of digital image production and asset management
• You have demonstrated creativity and innovation in the areas of image and video development, production, and graphic design
• You have extensive knowledge of current creative applications, including a full range of software, technology, techniques and practices involved in digital media, print and video
• You have proficiency in computer software including Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, Final Cut, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

Communication, Consultation and Relationship Management Skills:

- You have oral and written communication, and consultation skills to interact with Destination Ontario management and staff
- You can collaborate and build effective working relationships with diverse teams and clients
- You can provide superior client service, producing high-quality Creative Services with the client's direction

Project Management and Judgement Skills:

- You can develop project plans, establish priorities, set schedules and provide cost estimates
- You can coordinate, conceptualize and execute a variety of projects in partnership with management and staff
- You can manage multiple projects under tight time pressures
- You can assess project requests and advise staff on brand guidelines as they relate to the development of visual materials
- You can adapt to sudden changes in plans, time pressures and issues as they arise and adjust work priorities in a dead-line driven environment
- You can exercise judgement and discretion in interactions with senior management, industry stakeholders, clients, colleagues and suppliers

Tourism Knowledge:

- You have a basic knowledge of Ontario's geography and tourism offerings
- You have knowledge of Ontario tourism products to assist in developing promotional materials and identifying gaps in content
