DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Credit and Client Banking Team is responsible for the analysis and efficient execution of the overall core processing and data integrity of client administration including; cash management of client accounts, reconciliation of G/L and control accounts, reconciliation of Dealer bank accounts, net settlement, and tax payments. The primary objective of the team is to provide accurate and efficient administration, processing and service support. The delivery of overall service excellence is adhered to by closely monitoring reports, analyzing and tracking service standard.


POSITION SUMMARY: The Credit and Client Banking Analyst will be responsible for providing efficient and timely administration of payments whether internal or external; ensuring all payment administration work that is carried out is compliant with internal procedures. Prepare accurately and in accordance with the agreed service level agreements or relevant client services deadlines in a cost-effective manner and adherence to risk management guidelines. The position requires the ability to identify areas for continuous improvement that create efficiency and quality to workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis.


DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Responsible for monitoring, analyzing and resolution of complex escalations in a timely manner.

  • Provide knowledge and support for the coordinators, and review and validate their daily activities.

  • Perform Daily and monthly bank account reconciliations.

  • Perform Daily and monthly G/L and control accounts reconciliations.

  • Perform Daily and monthly client cash management, reconciliation and rebalance.

  • Manual Resolution of exceptions as identified through daily review of various reports.

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for other departments and projects.

  • Ensure all completed reconciliations and administration work are compliant with internal and regulatory procedures (CIRO), Canadian Sarbanes-Oxley Act (CSOX).

  • Contribute to satisfactory results in all internal & external audits.

  • Adherence to the risk and control framework, including team and departmental procedures.

  • Understanding of downstream internal/external client service chain impacts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Intermediate to advanced accounting knowledge.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial products and services available in the market

  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, with a minimum of 2 years processing experience, preferably in the financial services industry.

  • Ability to work in an environment with tight deadlines, changing priorities and work volumes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent client service skills and ability to work effectively with other team members
