Job Purpose and Impact
The Crop inputs Sales Representative - 18 month term will help build customer relationships by providing sound agronomic advice and solutions to meet the needs, resolve issues and maximize productivity for existing customers. In this role, you will differentiate the company from the competitors and increase sales, profitability and market share in chemical, fertilizer and seed markets.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategically target new customers and build a lasting business relationship with the grower by providing services, support and products from Precision Ag that meet their unique needs.
- Inform customers of our new products, services and prices.
- With general supervision, build, monitor and revise lead generation plans to develop substantive sales opportunities.
- Help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.
- Support development and delivery of sales bids, proposals and presentations and help conduct product demonstrations.
- Help execute medium to long term sales plans, supporting strategies to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Possess a valid Canadian Driver's licence in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of crop input operations and products
- CCA certification or ability to gain one
- Flexible to work overtime
