James Dick Construction Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Crusher Operator to join our team at the GlenchristieQuarry in Ontario. As a Crusher Operator, you will play a critical role in our operations by operating and maintaining crushing equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality aggregate materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate and control crushing equipment, such as jaw crushers, cone crushers, and screening plants, to process aggregate materials according to production requirements.
- Monitor and adjust the flow of materials through the crushing process to achieve optimal production and product quality.
- Conduct pre-start checks, routine inspections, and regular maintenance on crushers and associated equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
- Perform repairs and troubleshooting on crushers and related equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with the Quarry Supervisor and other team members to optimize crusher performance and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices related to quarry operations.
- Continuously monitor and report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the Quarry Supervisor.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Crusher Operator, preferably in a quarry or construction environment.
- Experience in jaws and impact crushers is an asset
- Proficient knowledge of operating and maintaining various types of crushing equipment.
- Strong understanding of crushing processes.
- Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and the ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
