Location: The position is an onsite role, and the resource is required to work in-person at a Government of Saskatchewan office in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The intended start date for the role is April 1st, 2024.
Term: The term of the Agreement is to be for a period of two (2) years, with an option in favour of GOS to extend the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of two (2) years and up to the completion of the project.
A. THE DELIVERABLES
The successful individual will be an integral part of the Ministry Project Management Team and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Develop the terms of the Detailed Project Plan in consultation with the Project Leadership Team.
Produce the Project Plan and gain Project Sponsor approval.
Ensure the project is undertaken in accordance with the standards, processes and documentation which follow Project Management Institute (PMI) standards.
Produce deliverables on time, within budget and to specification ensuring project objectives are met.
Ensure the work products and deliverables are completed in compliance with technical standards.
Facilitate integration of project touch points (interconnections) across related projects if required.
Monitor and report on project performance: scope, schedule, cost, and quality of project deliverables.
Identify, monitor and manage risks related to the delivery of the project.
Provide timely communications and reporting regarding projects risks, issues and concerns to the team, Project Sponsors and relevant stakeholders.
Organize and facilitate multi-stakeholder workshops, meetings and prepare presentations.
Work collaboratively with Third Party Vendors and other Partners to include their delivery as part of the overall implementation plan.
Develop project change requests (scope, time and cost) while negotiating and sharing financial implications and/or impact with the Project Sponsor.
Identify changes to resourcing requirements.
The resource will be required to participate in consultant performance evaluation as deemed appropriate by the Ministry. Familiarity with the Government of Saskatchewan, or comparable entity, technical and business landscape will be evaluated.
B. BACKGROUND
The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement (SBP), Information Technology Division (ITD), Project Management Office (PMO), is looking for one (1) or more Cybersecurity Project Manager(s) to manage various projects as assigned under the Cybersecurity Maturity program. These projects may include changes to business systems, processes and programs; Information Technology (IT) and infrastructure; and financial and human resources, all of which may impact branches across the ministry, sector partners and the wider community.
