Position:Database Maintenance Receptionist | seasonal, part time position
Required: April to December 2024 | 21-24 hours/week | afternoon, evening, weekend shifts
Pay Range: $19.72/hour

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide front line security for backstage admittance; log arrivals/departures, ensure non company members sign in, and wear a visitor’s pass
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, greet company members, patrons and non-company members in backstage area
  • Make company announcements using the internal paging system as required
  • Troubleshoot basic telephone issues; voice mail, console, telephone, conference calling
  • Assist in maintaining patron addresses in the Tessitura constituent database
  • Knowledge of performances, rehearsals, workshops and special activities
  • Handle petty cash for vending machine reimbursement, raffles & postal stamps
  • Assist in sorting and distributing incoming postal mail
  • Log and distribute company member parking passes, Shaw Housing and Shaw Company vehicle keys
  • Other duties as assigned by Reception Supervisor and/or IT Director.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A passion for the arts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to remain confidential and discreet
  • Have or be willing to receive CPR/first aid training
  • Data entry experience and working knowledge of MS Office an asset.
