We are looking for staff that have led large groups of 8-12 kids ages 5-12 in a recreational setting for at least several hundred hours. Please apply only if you have this experience.

Summer Camp Guides lead either the kids camp (ages 6-9) or youth camp (ages 10-12) at our Tri-Cities North West Camps (White Pine Beach, Rocky Point, Eagleridge Pool, the Coquitlam Aquatic Complex, Poirier Pool, Crash Crawly's (if heavy rain is forecast), and more) or Tri-Cities East Camps (out-trips that we meet at include Town Centre Park, Gates Park, Crash Crawly's (if heavy rain is forecast), and more. A reliable car is recommended. Shifts are between 8 am - 6 pm Monday-Friday.
The position will include, but is not limited to:
-Ensuring everyone's wellness, safety, and engagement
-Collaborating with other Camp Staff and Volunteers
-Developing a safe, inclusive, and fun community for all
-Anticipating potential challenges and de-escalating and resolving them
Full time- 35-40 hours per week from June 28-Aug. 30.
The position will generally be outdoors, is very active, and requires a lot of patience. As this job is partially funded by Canada Summer Jobs, staff need to be between 18-30 years old and Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
