JOB POSTING: DIRECTOR OF UNITY COMMUNITY DAYCARE
Job description
-To ensure the provision of quality childcare service which fulfills the philosophy of the centre
-To ensure that the centre is operated in compliance with the Child Care Act and the Child Care Regulations
-To administer the policies of the Board of Directors by developing and implementing procedures which meet the
goals and objectives of the centre
Experience:
-1-2 years (preferred)
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers
-Order supplies and equipment
-Maintain daycare supplies and equipment
-Maintain records of children
-Staff scheduling
-Childcare scheduling
-Meal planning
-Ensure the well-being and safety of children enrolled in the daycare
-Implement inclusive practices and programming to ensure all children participate in the child care program
-Plan and implement programming appropriate to the developmental level of children which embraces the vision
and principles of Play Exploration: Early learning and Program guide
-Communicate and collaborate with families, colleagues- and the community to support high quality child care
-Administrative skills
Requirements:
-Early Childhood Education(1,2 or 3) Certificate or Diploma. Level 3 preferred but would consider Level 1 or 2 if willing to obtain Level 3.
-Current First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain
-Safe Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain
-Current clear criminal record check in the vulnerable sector
