Digital Marketing Strategist

Remote - Kitchener, ON

Encircle is leading the $1.6 trillion ‌property insurance industry out of the dark ages of pen-and-paper processes, into the digital age of transparency and empowerment. Our easy-to-use software platform enables thousands of restoration contractors and insurance professionals around the world to process claims faster. We’re a remote-first company with a collaboration hub located in the heart of downtown Kitchener. We’re looking to add new members to our team as we continue to grow and scale!

About the role

We’re seeking a Digital Marketing Strategist to join the Marketing team. In this role you'll help lead the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and ROI. You'll execute Digital Marketing campaigns to develop new prospects and nurture them through our customer lifecycle - from unknown prospect to loyal customer. Your expertise in digital advertising platforms will be crucial in achieving our targets — we are a growing team looking forward to exciting marketing activities in 2024 and onwards!

What you’ll do:

  • Help to optimize the marketing technology stack, including marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and other marketing software.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with Sales and Revenue Operations to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Develop and implement marketing automation workflows, including lead nurturing, email campaigns, customer segmentation, and ad campaigns to drive engagement and conversion, and create a more personalized experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to plan, execute, and optimize Digital Marketing campaigns across various channels, such as email marketing, social media advertising, search engine marketing (SEM), and content marketing.
  • Utilize SEMRUSH to conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, site audits, backlink tracking etc.
  • Identify target audiences and plan and manage ad campaigns from end to end, including campaign setup, targeting, budget allocation, ad creation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website and landing page traffic, click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, cost per acquisition (CPA), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data collection, tracking, and reporting of insights to stakeholders, across marketing platforms and systems.
  • Implement A/B testing and other optimization techniques to continuously improve campaign performance and drive higher conversion rates.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in Digital Marketing, and proactively apply them.

What you bring:

You have a deep understanding of Digital Marketing and marketing operations. You have strong reporting capabilities with the ability to track campaign performance and associated spend down to the most granular details while providing roll-up reporting to senior management. You’ll ask questions to uncover untapped potential and opportunities across our digital channels. You’re continuously evaluating and improving marketing operations processes to enhance efficiency.

You know how to interpret and communicate metrics and analytics to the wider team, AKA tell the story of the data. You’re detail-oriented, you make data-driven decisions, and you split-test anything and everything you can.

Your background and experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Additional certifications in Digital Marketing or Performance Marketing are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a Performance Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Marketing Ops role, with a track record of successfully managing and optimizing in-house marketing campaigns.
  • In-depth knowledge of Digital Marketing channels and platforms, such as Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, email marketing platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing automation platforms - we currently use HubSpot.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and experience with data management and segmentation.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, conducting keyword research, monitoring website performance, and domain authority.
