Dining Room Server

Part time position.

Our Dining Room servers are responsible for ensuring meals are served on time to Residents and guests in our Main Dining Room according to the policies and procedures of our Retirement Residence.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Serving meals to Residents in a gracious and friendly manner;
• Setting up the Dining room in preparation for each meal
• Cleaning up tables and area after meal service.
• General Kitchen duties
• Effectively communicates and interacts with Residents , Family members and other staff in a courteous and professional manner;
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as required;
• Performs other related duties as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous work experience in providing food services in a Restaurant, Resort or Retirement Residence an asset;
• Successful completion of Secondary school or equivalent;
• Food Safe Certificates I an asset;
• First Aid Training & CPR Certificate an asset;
• Working knowledge of special diets;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Excellent Time management skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary: $16.47-$16.62 per hour

• HUNTSVILLE, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
