POSITION:

Director – Client Services; Child and Youth Mental Health Services

LOCATION:

North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, Sundridge, or Parry Sound, ON

Hybrid or primarily remote work may be considered

HOURS OF WORK:

Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)

HOURLY RATE:

Minimum $54.70 to maximum $66.56 per hour
Salary commensurate with education and experience

We are dedicated to improving the life experiences of families, children, youth, and adults who have Mental Health concerns or a developmental disability by providing them with help and support in facing and working through social, emotional, behavioural, physical, and developmental difficulties.

Our professional team is made up of more than 230 professionals who help more than
11,000 individuals in North Bay, Nipissing, Muskoka, Parry Sound, Timmins, and Northern
Ontario each year. We provide quality clinical, navigation and professional support in the areas of autism, behavioural, developmental, Mental Health, and rehabilitative services.
The Agency has an annual budget of $25 million.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director – Client Services is accountable for overall divisional leadership ensuring effective delivery of quality Client Services. The Director is a contributing member of the senior leadership team which sets overall strategic direction and provides leadership across the Agency. The Director leads in alignment with Agency’s Mission, Vision, Values and Leadership Model.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Health Sciences
  • Registered as a regulated health professional in the Province of Ontario and able to perform the act of psychotherapy
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive management, including senior leadership experience and a minimum 5 years of direct clinical and client service experience in a relevant field
  • Strategic planning experience in a complex health care environment
  • Experience in program operations, planning, design, and evaluation including evidence- based decision making and data quality/data management
  • Experience in human resource management, financial management and accountability and information management
  • Knowledgeable and experience in anti-oppressive practices related to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
  • Experience with LEADS Framework, change management, performance management, project management, compliance, risk management, continuous quality improvement, and data management and analysis
  • History of working productively and collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Must have excellent communication skills including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and be proficient in making presentations and professional business writing
  • Advanced software skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook); experience using Client and Human Resources InformationSystems an asset
  • Highly adaptive, resilient, and responsive to changing circumstances
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families/caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourself
  • Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide:

o Proof of eligibility to work in Canada

o A valid Ontario driver’s licence and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on

Agency vehicle insurance policy

o Clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
