What is the opportunity?
RBC Capital Markets Global Investment Banking is seeking an innovative and versatile Vice President or Director Property Brokerage to join its Real Estate Group (“REG”) based in Downtown Toronto. The successful candidate will work within REG’s Property Brokerage Team with a focus on origination, marketing, execution, due diligence and underwriting across a variety of property types and Real Estate transactions.

The Property Brokerage Team is a market‐leading advisor for institutional‐quality Real Estate in Canada, offering comprehensive transaction and advisory expertise for retail, office, industrial, multi‐residential, seniors housing, hotel and urban development properties and portfolios.
What will you do?
Collaborate with clients, partners, and internal/external stakeholders to identify and secure new business opportunities
Structure, compile, and draft presentation and communication materials, including investment offering summaries, confidential information memoranda, pitch & advisory presentations, responses to RFPs, and other ad-hoc market and industry research reports
Oversee the active marketing, negotiation and closing of Real Estate sales transactions
Perform a lead role in real property transactions on multiple property types including financial analysis, valuation, underwriting and due diligence for Real Estate properties and portfolios
Review and summarize legal documents, property leases, financing documents, appraisals, building condition assessments and environmental reports
Monitor market trends, analyze data, and provide insights to support decision-making
Represent the team at networking events, conferences and industry meetings
Provide mentorship, training and guidance to junior team members to enhance their skills and performance
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience with a proven track record of success in Real Estate transactions, preferably across multiple institutional quality property types
Broad network and strong relationships in the Canadian commercial Real Estate industry
Licensed Real Estate Broker or Sales Representative with the Real Estate Council of Ontario
Ability to work as a member of a professional team in a fast-paced corporate environment
Exceptional organization and time management skills
Strong quantitative, analytical and financial modeling skills and understanding of Argus Enterprise
Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Trusted advisory, in addition to a transactional, mindset
Exceptional communication and creative problem solving skills
Flexibility in time schedule to meet clients’ deadlines
University degree (business/finance/accounting oriented)
Demonstrated superior track record in academic/professional endeavours
