WHAT YOU'LL DO
With a clear set of strategic priorities aimed at delivering client-centric solutions, you will play a key role in collaborating cross-functionally to align functional strategies to the enterprise strategy, while balancing short-term tactical needs with long-term objectives.
You will drive key strategies to deliver on financial and operational performance, with a focus on leading cross-functional projects, and exploring new business opportunities to drive profitability and continue our growth in Canada. You will report into the Chief Operating Officer. Key responsibilities include:
STRATEGY AND PLANNING
- As part of the strategic planning process, you will partner with cross-functional leads to build a macro strategy for the organization. This includes developing the framework, facilitating leadership alignment, and developing and presenting various deliverables
- Project management of the corporate project portfolio and provide executive oversight to project leads to ensure projects are driven consistently across all areas of our business. This includes developing and driving deliverables and defining project plans and critical metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead key initiatives.
- Leverage internal and external data sources to uncover meaningful insights and key takeaways to better understand the environment and communicate findings to cross-functional partners
- Provide ad-hoc business and competitive intelligence and insights for key senior executives
- Develop executive reports and presentations to help facilitate business reviews
8-10 years+ of related experience; retail is preferred * Undergraduate degree in business with an MBA, CPA, CBV, or advanced degree preferred
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams at all levels, gaining credibility and trust quickly.
- Ability to communicate and articulate complex ideas and present them to the executive team
- Curious approach with a deep understanding of how to link strategy to financial plans and analysis
- Ability to provide strategic and creative solutions through data and insights
- Results-driven, motivated by a sense of performance excellence, and urgency, and ability to challenge the status quo
- Solid track record of success in crafting and influencing an organization's strategic agenda and priorities
- Proven experience working with and aligning a broad range of partners on a strategic goal
- Understanding of NPD market share reporting an asset
- Advanced working understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
