Director, Data Architect

We are seeking a Data Architect who will lead the overall research, define strategy and approach, and execute on designing conceptual and logical representation of the SGI's Data Architecture. Reporting to the Vice President of Data Strategy and Enablement, your role will be critical in utilizing your agility, business analysis and Data Architecture expertise to identify and engage with the key stakeholders, as well as collect and translate complex business requirements into a flexible, extendible data driven semantic structure easily understandable by business end-users. You will be instrumental in supporting growth in our reporting and analytics capabilities and providing valuable insights that will help inform our business strategy and decision-making processes.

• Have knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance and Auto Fund business processes. 
• Have a passion for learning, researching, and staying abreast of the latest advancements in Data Architecture and technology to adapt them to SGI's business operations.
• Want to leverage your leadership skills to influence change and adaptation, like actively supporting SGI's culture, expanding your learning, and supporting your colleagues as they do.

Typically, these skills are gained through a four-year degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Mathematics and Applied Science or defined equivalency and ten years of IT experience comprising at least four years in a Data Architect role or equivalent. Experience as a Data Architect in the Property and Casualty insurance industry would be considered an asset.
