About the Role
The Director, Diversity & Inclusion reports to the Global Director, Culture and Employee Engagement and is responsible for championing diversity and inclusion (D&I) while building and maintaining relationships within Magna International. This role is highly collaborative, considers diverse perspectives, communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, encourages innovation and applies project management techniques to deliver results for a multi-faceted program.
Your Responsibilities
- Leads global strategies to attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce, with a focus on promoting inclusion of women and BIPOC communities.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to implement inclusive practices and behaviors across the organization.
- Designs and delivers training programs and resources to enhance awareness and comprehension of diversity and inclusion.
- Develops internal and external communication strategies to promote inclusivity.
- Manages Employee Resource Communities and evaluates the impact of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Establishes strategic partnerships and incorporates external best practices to enhance the company's inclusion strategy.
Who we are looking for
- 10+ years of experience in human capital, diversity and inclusion program management, HR strategy, or related field.
- University degree in HR or a related field.
- Passion for D&I work and awareness of all facets of diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to translate evidence-based strategy into actionable plans for an inclusive environment.
- Project management experience with senior leadership and across functions.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to build successful relationships at all levels of an organization.
Your preferred qualifications
- Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion (an asset).
- Global travel approximately 10% of time.
