What is the Opportunity?
As a Director, IA Methodology - Regulatory, you will contribute effectively to the transformation of audit methodologies and practices across the function, supported by the creation of applicable learning content. You will ensure that methodologies and practices are aligned with global regulatory, industry and best practice expectations for financial institution leading edge internal audit functions. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders across all lines of defense. Lead ad hoc IA special projects and initiatives and conduct research to drive leading practices across the function.

What will you do?
- Undertake industry research and identify leading practices to enhance and/or develop methodologies, practices, procedures, and common audit programs undertaken for the benefit of all IA, including emerging risk areas
- Evaluate the impact of a) potential regulatory developments and b) historical findings on IA Methodology and practices, and identify enhancements to address
- Working closely with the Learning team, develop and deliver IA Methodology learning content to address learning needs and requirements as they evolve over time
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- Undergraduate degree and professional designations (CPA, CA, CIA) with extensive experience in audit theory and practice
- Minimum 7-10 years in financial sector audit and/or professional audit standards
- Expert in-depth knowledge of regulatory guidance, IIA Standards, Practice Advisories and Practice Guides
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Accountability, leadership, initiative, teamwork, change agent and impact and influence
Nice to have
- Strong inter-personal skills including interaction/dealing with executives and senior management and ability to maintain a strong relationship with staff, peers and stakeholders
- Strong working background/experience with major business segments of RBC or comparable peer bank
- Strong analytical, communication, strategic and creative mindset
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
