Position: Director, News CP24, Bell Media, Unifor 723M
Location: 299 Queen St W, Toronto
Salary: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: PT including Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings, 24 hours per week
- Direct multi-camera feeds for live CP24 programming
- Lead the crew and on-air staff through live production and demonstrate the ability to change pace and direction under pressure
- Communicate effectively with control room and field crews
- Ensure quality of all production graphics and visual elements brought to air
- Develop and implement new formats and visual presentation as required
- Other duties as required
- 5-10 years experience directing multi camera live studio productions
- Proven ability to direct in a fast paced environment
- Proven ability to make fast competent decisions under pressure
- Proven ability to lead a control room and studio crew
- Thorough knowledge of production and technical requirements for live broadcasts
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills
- Interest and knowledge of current affairs
- Excellent computer skills, including newsroom systems
