MISSION

The Director of Programs and Services will guide a multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to serving infants, children, youth, and families facing complex mental health challenges.

Reporting to the Vice President, Programs and Services, the individual will provide visionary leadership, promote the highest standards of care, and play a crucial role in shaping the future of mental health services within our region.

The Pod Group is partnering with this organization to place a dedicated, forward-thinking leader to fulfill the role of the Director of Programs and Services.

PRIORITES

  • Work with the senior management team and CEO to support the governance structures of the organization and contribute to high-level organizational decisions, strategies and support.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and maintain strong community partner relationships, with a special focus on the organization’s Indigenous partners and the services provided.
  • Represent the organization locally, regionally, and provincially in support of the Lead Agency functions and act as a key ambassador to enhance the visibility and impact of the organization.
  • Lead and guide Program Managers, ensuring effective management and seamless integration across all program areas, allowing cohesive service delivery.
  • Conduct in-depth performance reviews of Program Managers, focusing on continuous improvement and professional development, ensuring that Managers are equipped with the necessary resources to implement strategic directions and propose and oversee effective implementation methods.
  • Provide guidance and support to Program Managers in conflict resolution, team development and their management of the departments, teams, or projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Spearhead program planning, development, and implementation, ensuring programs are robust, effective, and meet community needs.
  • Actively pursue and assist in identifying potential funding opportunities, enhancing the organization’s ability to deliver and expand Services.
  • Oversee program budgets and schedules, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient use of resources while confirming accurate and timely completion of service reporting to funders, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Monitor and evaluate each department’s performance, drive program evaluation, propose quality improvement strategies, review Business Intelligence (BI) submissions, and contribute to the development and implementation of the agency’s Balanced Scorecard.
  • Conduct regular, scheduled reviews of all agency collected data, ensuring data-driven decision-making in programming and program locations.
  • Play a key role in ensuring the agency’s preparedness for, and maintenance of, Accreditation certification.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of the agency’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategy, promoting an inclusive and equitable organizational culture.

Requirements

TALENT & EXPERTISE

  • Master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration and in good standing with the appropriate professional college or regulatory body.
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience that includes responsibility for areas such as service system management, community partnerships, service delivery, quality and change management with a proven track record of program development and evaluation.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, clinical standards, and guidelines in mental health.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in service delivery.
  • A collaborative team player with strong leadership, management, interpersonal, coaching, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. At ease communicating with direct reports, clinical teams, senior leadership and the broader sector.
  • Working knowledge of French is considered an asset.
