Job Description: Dishwasher
Reporting to: Head Chef
We're expanding our team for the summer season!
The Dishwasher position at Couchiching Craft Brewing Co. (CCBC) calls for strengths in both culinary knowledge, skill, and is a key position in our kitchen brigade.
As part of a manufacturing, hospitality and retail facility, the Dishwasher will work diligently and closely under our Head Chef.
As part of the kitchen team, the Dishwasher must be flexible and easily adapt to challenges that may arise such as equipment and product issues to consumer feedback. As a member of the food and beverage and regional business community, the dishwasher is also expected to adhere to the Mission and Vision Statements of Couchiching Craft Brewing Co. in all dealings with vendors and customers.
Overview
· Responsible for operating, maintaining and organizing the dish area
· Possess knowledge of dish equipment, its operation and maintenance
· Maintain excellent hygiene
· Ability to lift 50lbs/heavy pots and kitchen equipment
· Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet and exceed health and safety standards
· Ability to work on your feet for 8hrs+/day
· Comfortable working with a small team within a small work environment
· Be aware of hazards and maintenance procedures involved with all kitchen equipment
· Work flex evenings and weekends, as is a requirement of this position due to the nature of its responsibilities and industry
· Conduct daily inspections of the dish area and equipment
· Load, operate and empty dishwashing machines and sinks in a proper and respectable manner
· Assist Chef with daily production tasks as needed
