Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper

The Summit Grill (Best Western Plus) is looking for a full time dishwasher / kitchen helper to join our amazing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of an experienced kitchen team and learn new skills. 30-40 hours per week.

Job Overview:

• Collect all dishes, cutlery, and glasses

• Ensure all dishes, cutlery, and glasses are properly sanitized before further use

• Operate dishwasher

• Clean kitchen tools and appliances properly before use

• Assemble food for patrons

• Prepare takeout packages

• Clean kitchen floors, storage areas, and take out the trash

• Keep cupboards and storage area clean and organized

Experience and Qualifications:

• No experience necessary
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
• Ability to multi-task
• Good communication skills ·
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and fluent communication skills in English
• Food Safe certification is an asset
• Willing to learn

Work environment:

• sometimes very fast paced and stressful

• working on your feet most of the day

• sometimes hot and humid environment

• Can be physically demanding: includes bending , lifting, carrying heavy loads of dishes or boxes of supplies
