Education and Experience Required

  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software – Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as invoicing, filing, and record keeping
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
  • A business or office administration program is beneficial

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The number one duty and responsibility of the Dispatch Manager is to deliver outstanding service to all customers of our self-storage and car wash operations, whether they contact us in person, by phone, email, text, social media or otherwise. In many ways, you will be the “face” of the company as you will often be the first point of contact customers have us. You will positively represent the company at all times, both while at work and in the community.

When not attending to customers, you will be engaged in property management and office administration tasks including:

a. Checking in and checking out self-storage customers;

b. Ensuring the self-storage facilities and units are clean and tidy at all times;

c. Answering the phone and triaging calls from our customers according to our dispatch guidelines;

d. Recording customer service inquiries and complaints in our quality improvement system;

e. Providing support to the District Manager and other team members as required;

f. Mastering our various company software so that it is used to its fullest capabilities;

g. Invoicing and recording sales;

h. Providing clerical assistance to the company bookkeeper;

i. Participating in team meetings and offering suggestions/recommendations to increase office process efficiencies and client service;

j. Developing and updating manuals and checklists for all customer service and office administration processes;

k. General clerical duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, faxing and mailing;

l. Performing other duties, from time to time, as requested by team members.

Your ability to carry out these duties and others that may be assigned from time to time will be considered as part of your annual performance assessment.

Job Location

GJV headquarters is currently located in Oromocto, New Brunswick, approximately 20 minutes from the capital city of Fredericton.

Compensation

GJV’s new Self-Storage Property & Car Wash Dispatch Manager will receive a competitive compensation package including a $50,000 annual salary, health benefits, company laptop, and cell phone.
