Position Overview:

We are seeking a Technology-Savvy Document Scanning Clerk to join our team for a temporary 6-10 months project at the office located in Scarborough, Ontario. The ideal candidate should have experience working with scanning equipment, have excellent written and verbal English language skills, and be physically able to perform manual tasks such as sorting and document preparation (removing staples, clips, and other non-scannable items). Access to reliable transportation (car or public transportation) to commute to Lawrence and Victoria Park in Scarborough is essential for this position. Work hours Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

Responsibilities

- Operate scanning equipment to digitize a variety of documents, ensuring high-quality scans.

- Review scanned documents for accuracy and completeness.

- Name and save each document carefully following prescribed protocols and rules.

- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with scanning equipment (such as jams or cleaning).

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

- Assist with manual tasks as needed to support Document Scanning operations.

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines in the workplace.

Qualifications:

- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

- Previous job experience with using technology and software

- Strong Computer User skills, such as ability to navigate computer interface, basic troubleshooting, understanding computer network set up and following specific data and folders organization and formatting protocols.

- Attention to details, spelling, typing, accuracy and speed.

- Physical ability to perform manual tasks as required.

- Access to a car or reliable public transportation for commuting to Lawrence and Victoria Park in Scarborough.

- Previous professional scanning experience is preferred.

- Background check / police certificate will be required for this position.

- Previous employment references / recommendations.
