Dog Boarding Assistant

Must love dogs !! This is the most important aspect of this role. Our dogs come to us for care while their pet parents take a vacation. We think our boarding dogs deserve a vacation too! Special treats, long walks and lots of hugs is part of the job description.

We are searching for a person who is capable of caring for all kinds of dogs and their different personalities. Someone who is reliable, confident, dedicated and passionate and who would like to become a permanent part of the Blue Mountain Veterinary Services team would be the ideal candidate.

The clinic sits in a beautiful location with views overlooking the mountain, the orchards and the lake. A reliable car is recommended as we are in a fairly rural area with no public transportation.

The role will involve walking and feeding the dogs and ensuring that their kennels and beds are clean and tidy as well as helping to keep the clinic clean and tidy. The hours are mostly evenings and weekends (which are shared with the other attendant) but could be beneficial for someone who is looking to supplement another job or an active retired person who is able to spend a few hours a day here with us, taking care of our boarding dogs' needs.
