Ram River Environmental is a fast paced and growing consulting firm that is searching for a dynamic and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Drafting Technician. Drafting responsibilities include location maps, site diagrams, remediation diagrams and environmental assessment workplan diagrams.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Complete standard 2D project drafting for environmental assessments for various work scopes using AutoCAD. This will include location maps, Phase 2 ESA workplans and site diagrams, and remediation diagrams.
- Construct more complex drawings under the guidance of the Lead Drafter, as required.
- Prepare specialized diagrams for subsoil salinity modelling.
- Organize and monitor schedules to ensure deadlines are met, while managing scheduling conflicts in a timely manner, communicating effectively to all persons involved.
- Work collaboratively with the project managers and team to maximize productivity.
- Report updates verbally and in written form to management.
- Maintain organized job files with all the necessary documentation.
- Willingness to work on tasks outside of drafting to help team meet deliverable deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Diploma in Drafting Technology or equivalent education.
- Minimum three years of previous drafting experience preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office as well as aptitude to learn new software systems.
This is a full-time position that will be associated with either our Rocky Mountain House office or Vermilion office. The candidate must be within commuting distance of either office with an option to work from home 2-3 days per week.
