The Role:
We’re seeking a Vehicle Operations Manager based in Toronto, Ontario to lead our Canadian vehicle operation. Reporting to our Director of Vehicle Operations, this position has oversight over all vehicle operations in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Landline’s bus operations and maintenance; oversee our team of motorcoach drivers
- Provide backup route coverage as a driver when needed
- Maintain knowledge of the Company’s regulatory obligations and ensure Landline’s operations comply with all applicable provincial and federal transportation regulations, including safety and security policies, duty time requirements, and vehicle standards
- Hire, train and evaluate employees and maintain standard operating procedures for all team members
- Clearly communicate company and operational performance standards and policies to team members and drive achievement, ensuring they meet expectations
- Maximize operational performance by driving a safety-first culture and ensuring alignment between teams at different locations
- Effectively communicate goals, opportunities and challenges to company leadership and external stakeholders
- Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency
- Execute vehicle maintenance plan and schedule vehicle maintenance accordingly
- Represent the Landline brand and be an example of our customer-first principles
What We’re Looking For:
- CZ or BZ driver’s licence is required
- 5+ years of commercial passenger driving experience, preferably motorcoach
- Ability to provide a driver’s abstract clear of any demerits
- Previous management experience in an operationally intensive, shift-based business; transportation management experience is strongly preferred
- Proven success in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Well-developed leadership skills and the ability to motivate team members working toward a common goal
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (French is an asset)
- Technology proficiency
- Criminal reference check required; ability to obtain airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances as needed
- Applicants must complete a pre-employment drug test to comply with company safety requirements
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including the loading and unloading of luggage
- All other duties as assigned

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
