Children First: Eagle Ridge Nest is seeking qualified and certified Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educators to join our diverse team in a homelike environment. We strive to enact our mission of providing circles of support to our children and families by building strong relationships and creating places of vitality where we nurture the children as they grow and develop. We are Reggio inspired and use FLIGHT: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework to guide our practice and implement an emergent curriculum that places importance on problem solving approaches to guiding children's behaviour. Our centre provides care for up to 62 children between the ages of 6 months and 12 years old from 6:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. Our educators nurture and care for our children to support their social, emotional, creative, intellectual, and physical well-being in our licensed child care centre. The successful candidate will have a history of excellent teamwork, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Required Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Early Learning and Care, or Child and Youth Care
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certification
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (Dated within 60 days of start date)
- Current Child and Youth Intervention Check (Dated within 60 days of start date)
- Current Child Care First Aid Certification, with CPR Level C
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Experience planning and implementing developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum
- Ability to adapt and modify activities to meet the developmental needs of all children
- Experience guiding children's behaviour through a problem-solving approach
- Experience with documentation and pedagogical documentation
- Fluent knowledge of licensing and regulatory requirements
- Experience with Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework (FLIGHT)

Salary: $16.50-$18.00 per hour
