Eeg Technician

Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Iamging, and working as a member of the DI/Cardiorespiratory Services, the Registered EEG Technician is responsible for performing electroencephalograms and related electrophysiological activity as well as other clinical assignments.

Education

• Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Board of Registered EEG Technologists (CBRET)
• Member of Canadian Association of EEG Technologists (CAET) preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience preferred, along with demonstrated experience using digital EEG recordings, long-term video and portable EEG recordings
• Ability to actively trouble shoot equipment problems
• Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates a high regard for quality and attention to detail
• Demonstrates initiative to work independently with minimal supervision required
• Current CPR or BCLS certification.
• Good work and attendance record required
