Electrician, Journeyperson - Ahs

Are you an Electrician withJourneypersoncertification who enjoys solving puzzles, tracing problems, and creating solutions? Reporting to the Autonomous Haul Truck (AHT) Supervisor, this position will be responsible for installing Autonomous Truck kits, maintaining and upgrading Modular Mining systems on Komatsu 930/980, AC/DC Shovels and other AHS support equipment. This position is based in FortMcMurray, AB.

This role is a 14x14 position. Housing is available.

The hourly rate for this position is $66.57 per hour plus applicable premiums.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting both customers and other trades people in the resolution, component repair/rebuild, haul truck/shovel repair, and equipment assembly/repair issues in the effective troubleshooting of equipment.
• Installation of new parts and equipment in accordance with generally accepted industry standards, as well as site specific best practices.
• Performing component failure analysis to improve the operation of installed parts and equipment

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a Journeyperson Electrician, and a minimum of three (3) years of industry related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Other requirements include:

• Proven ability to adhere to and maintain workplace health and safety initiatives
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and OEM drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts
• Requires a thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of Komatsu AC Electric Drive Trucks and other Mining equipment
• Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
