We are looking for a sales and Recruitment Specialist to help our graduates succeed in their professional journeys and to develop strong relationships with employers in the professional areas in which our graduates have been trained.

We are seeking a highly motivated Employment Recruitment Specialist to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in providing employment support for graduates of career training programs at Brookes College.

Responsibilities:

Employment Recruitment

  • Promote Brookes College students to employers for practicum placements and job opportunities.
  • Recruit employers for Practicum placements and Post graduation training related employment.
  • Maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to create employment partnerships specifically for career training program graduates.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and guidance to graduates in career development and job placement.
  • Collaborate with graduates to identify their career goals, assess their skills, and develop personalized employment plans.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars on resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies tailored to the needs of career training program graduates.
  • Connect graduates with job opportunities, both on and off-campus, in alignment with their specialized training.
  • Monitor and analyze employment trends within the career training sectors and adjust support services accordingly.

Practicum Placement and Coordination:

  • Recruit employers for Practicum placements
  • Monitoring of the monthly graduating students who meet criteria for practicum placements.
  • Following up of students during their practicum

Event planning and Coordination

  • Manage events in the College. Graduation, Christmas party, etc.
  • Attend college marketing and career fairs to promote the college.
  • Assist in the coordination of departmental events, meetings, and workshops, ensuring smooth logistics and communications focused on the needs of career training program graduates.
  • Maintain accurate records of graduate employment data and departmental activities.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing emails, and responding to inquiries from career training program graduates.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as needed to support departmental initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support administrative processes within the career training programs.

General Support

  • Serve as a dedicated liaison between career training programs, graduates, faculty, and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive college environment for our specialized graduates.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall development of departmental goals and strategies, with a focus on career training program graduates.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements related to the specialized career training sectors and employment support services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing materials and outreach initiatives to promote employment opportunities for career training program graduates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's mission of empowering career training program graduates.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ Prior related sales/recruitment/marketing experience in employment services, career counseling, or related roles
  • Marketing post secondary college diploma or university communications degree preferred.
  • Strong and assertive communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated consistently high levels of customer service performance.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks and software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive college community.
