Reporting to the Rotating Equipment Supervisor, the Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the reliability, availability and maintainability of the plant’s rotating equipment and works closely with the maintenance, operations and projects teams.This role is located at Nutrien's Fort Saskatchewan Nitrogen Operations (FNO) site and is not eligible for remote work.
What you will do:
- Mechanical design ownership of plant changes through the MOC and Projects processes
- Analysis of maintenance history and failure data to prioritize issues and opportunities
- Ownership of FNO's preventative, predictive maintenance and Root Cause Analysis programs
- Progress FNO’s Maintenance and Reliability Continuous Improvement Plan
- Ownership of FNO’s Bad Actors and Vulnerabilities
What you will bring:
- A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
- Registered with APEGA or eligible for registration with APEGA as a P.Eng.
- 5+ years experience in an industrial environment
- Experience working in an operating chemical plant with pumps, compressors, turbines, conveyors, etc.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a certification in Root Cause Analysis, Vibration analysis and oil sample analysis
- Reliability Centered Maintenance and PM Optimization Methodology experience is considered an asset
- Experience running management of change or capital project
