Equipment Maintenance Technician / Operator

We are a diversified, family run organization with feedlot, cropping and cow/calf enterprises located near Barrhead AB.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns - Assist with larger repairs - Perform set up and maintenance on seasonal agricultural equipment (ie seed drill, silage chopper) - Ability to operate a variety of agricultural and heavy duty equipment, preference to a Class 1 license
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Experience:
- Experience with automotive, farm equipment and heavy industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to weld and fabricate as needed
- Experience operating agricultural and heavy equipment
- Preference given to a Class 1 license - Ability to lift 50lbs - Possibility of Apprenticeship for the right individual
