Equipment Operator (Sesasonal)

Mantario Tree Service is looking for a dedicated Equipment Operator and hard-working individual to join their team from April – October 2024. Our ideal candidate should be ambitious, a go getter, and have a drive to ensure customer satisfaction.

What you will do:

• Support a small team that performs site preparation, excavation, and installation for Canada Post Community Mail Boxes from Whiteshell, Manitoba to Kenora, Ontario
• Install Canada Post Community boxes onto pre-fabricated concrete bases
• Operate and maintain equipment such as skid steer, excavator, compactor, fork-lift
• Provide tree removal services on residential properties
• Responsible for carrying out other duties as assigned

Must Haves

• Ability to perform strenuous manual labor and work in all weather conditions
• Work full time from April – October
• Able to lift to 50lbs
• Comfortable using machinery and tools on a daily basis
• Valid 5F driver’s license and own transportation to and from work
• Clear criminal record check

Nice to Have:

• Experience using machinery or small equipment would be an asset
• Previous experience in construction, landscaping or in a general laborer position

Formed in 2019, Mantario is a small operation that services both the construction industry and tree care industry across Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Salary: $25.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
