About this Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the Equipment/Grader Operator position will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of roads in the Kaybob Region. This position is a contractor position operating one of Paramount’s graders with the position being assessed and renewed annually. They will also be responsible for the general maintenance of the grader including parts management to minimize downtime. The successful candidate’s shift will be (10/4) with flexibility working around weather days with the potential for on call work from the Fox Creek or surrounding Area.

Job functions will involve:

• Ensure gravel roads are maintained in a safe manner for industry & public travel
• Complete Daily Pre and Post operation inspection walk-around
• Express the knowledge and ability to Identify potential maintenance concerns on a variety of equipment
• Enter workorders into Maximo maintenance program with details to assist Planner/Schedulers on equipment maintenance
• Work closely with Maintenance Coordinator/Mechanics/ Maintenance Planners/Schedulers to ensure that work priorities are identified for equipment and Paramount owned roads
• Conduct general maintenance on grader to minimize potential downtime
• Maintain a parts list and inventory for general maintenance
• Identify hazards and complete recommendations for improvements and efficiencies
• Ensure operating & maintenance procedures are reviewed and current
• Complete detailed daily work tickets for invoice validation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years grading experience
• Experience in the grading and safe handling of equipment in an “Off Highway” environment
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must have accomplished a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Experience in general and preventive maintenance of graders
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
• The successful candidate will reside in the Fox Creek, AB area or in close proximity
