Position Summary: The Maintenance Worker is responsible to contribute to bot the long-term repair and preventative maintenance of the Resort infrastructure, as well as responding to the daily request for repairs by both guests and staff. They are also the front line of the Resort’s Health and Safety initiative. This position is for evening work, and will consist of shifts from 2pm-10pm or 3pm-11pm.
Pay for this position is: 20.00/hr
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Abide by all Health and Safety Regulations as outlined in the FHSR policy manual.
- Check and ensure HVAC systems are serviced and in good repair.
- Check all rooms to facilitate effective functioning of all infrastructure.
- Collection of garbage resort wide.
- Snow removal of pedestrian pathways throughout the resort property.
- Locksmithing for both mechanical and electronic security systems.
- Respond to both guest and staff requests for emergency maintenance.
- Maintain and respond to fire system alerts.
- Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Grade 12 education
- Familiarity with computer systems
- Must have valid BC Drivers license (minimum Class 5)
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Must have familiarity with general maintenance disciplines such as carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical repair.
