Maintenance Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining the safety and functionality of our buildings, facilities and equipment.

Duties
- Review and execute daily work orders for the Powell River Town Centre and apartment buildings

-Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment

- Assist in ensuring site risk liability is top of mind and correct immediately any risks found on site

-Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime

- Responsible for shop inventory and maintaining levels

- Ensure lighting in residential buildings, the Town Centre, exterior lighting of sites and signage is lit and maintained at all times

- Saturday shifts are spent in the mall property, unlocking entrances, completing work orders, ensuring garbages are emptied, washrooms are clean, and all entrances are clean and clear of debris

- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner

- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and customers

Requirements
- Strong "jack of all trades" skills and experience with troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and household property
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically

Work Hours

Full Time, Tuesday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; and Saturdays 8:00am - 4:00pm

Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
