Event Host - Team Lead

Indigo Park Canada is hiring a Casual Event Team Lead to work during various Sporting Events, Concerts, Trade Shows etc.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Leading and directing team in manager absence
• Provide customer service and keep the machine (meter) clean and accessible
• Regulate parking and traffic in an assigned lot and restrict unauthorized vehicles
• Checks permits/passes to verify authorization to park
• Maximize vehicle parking during busy event times while working with and around other user groups within the parking facilities.
• Keeps count of the vehicles and holds required spaces for reservations.
• Responsible for appropriate signage on the lot (ie; lot full)
• Completes summary reports when requested
• Flagging traffic within the parking properties

Availability Needed:

• This is a casual position and shifts are during special events like concerts, sporting events, etc.
• Most events are in evenings (From 4:30pm) and on weekends (various times)
• Shifts will typically be 4 hours in length (3 hours for set-up prior to event, 1 hour for clean up at event)
• Schedule will fluctuate week by week based on the events booked primarily at Rogers Arena and BC Place

What Are We Looking For?

• Must have good communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of general parking procedures an asset
• Customer service experience preferred
• Must have class 5 driver's license and be comfortable using a company vehicle

What are the Working Conditions?

• Parking garage and occasional parking lots
• Ability to work in all temperatures (cold / heat / rain / snow)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Please be advised that this area of town is frequented by vagrants and the selected candidate must be comfortable with interacting with these guests as well as reporting any concerns to security
