Event Rental Specialist

We are hiring a replacement for the owner of the company, while she diverts her attention to other areas. This is a new role, and we can work to develop this role to best suit the applicant and their specific skillset and needs.

Listed below are the current tasks that the owner is overseeing, and would like to be able to see passed down to the applicant, however if you think you are an excellent fit in most areas, but not all, we'd love to hear from you, and adapt the role to meet your skills and passions.

Duties:

Administration:

- Respond to inquiries via phone and email

-Maintaining invoicing and billing

-Processing payroll

-Making decisions regarding pricing and customer charges

-Dispute resolution, and client retention

-Marketing

-Social Media posts & interaction

Oversight:

-Direct and oversee supplementary warehouse and event set up & take down staff

Physical/Hands On:

*Much of this role would be passed on to a competent warehouse operator as the business expands, however at this time, this is currently a hands on part of the role.

-Build and maintain accurate running inventory
- Perform order picking and packaging of event supplies and materials.
- Load and unload event equipment and materials from trucks or other transportation vehicles.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of events, including heavy lifting and moving of equipment and materials.
-Clean rental equipment, such as dishes, chairs, linens, miscellaneous event equipment

-Drive truck and trailer, or willingness to learn/train

Experience:
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with order picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Experience in building and construction, including the use of tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of event setup procedures and technical equipment is a plus.

Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills

-Ability to work independently, with little to no direction, self starter
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other event staff members.
- Good communication skills to effectively coordinate tasks with team members.
- Some flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for event schedules.

Please note that this position may require working in various weather conditions and physical exertion. The ability to work on your feet for extended periods is also necessary.
