The Town of Wasaga Beach is seeking an innovative team player to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Beachfront Ambassadors/ Events and Tourism Assistants.
General Responsibilities:
The role of the Beachfront Ambassador is to be a representative for the Town of Wasaga Beach, providing information and assistance to visitors and residents at the Beachfront and helping with Special Events. Stationed at Beach Area 1, the ambassador will be responsible for running the beachfront information booth during assigned days. This will include visitor assistance, handing out material such as guides and maps, and other duties as assigned. In addition, the ambassador will also assist the events team with various event set-up and take down, and will be responsible for light beach maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Town of Wasaga Beach and surrounding area, able to give directions, recommendations, provide resources and provide event information.
- Experience in customer serve; the individual will be consistently interacting with the public.
- Strong written and verbal communication, both internal and public-facing;
- Ability and comfort working both independently and in various teams;
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including: day, evening, weekend and statutory holidays’ and assume a flexible work schedule;
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions;
- Valid class G2 or above Ontario driver’s license with an acceptable abstract and criminal records check.

Salary: $17.87-$18.95 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
