Position: Events Staff (Bartenders)

Employment Details: Part-time, Seasonal

Rate of Pay: $15.60/hr plus gratuities

Requirements: Cover Letter and Resume, minimum of three references, RNC Certificate of Conduct/Vulnerable Sector Check (required before commencing employment)

Who can apply: Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or in receipt of legal refugee status. This position requires handling and serving alcohol – applicants must be at minimum aged 19 years.

Summary of Position:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating delicious beverages for our guests. If you have a passion for mixology and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers

· Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences

· Maintain a clean and organized bar area

· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

· Handle cash and debit/credit transactions and process payments accurately

· Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner

· Assist with opening and closing duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role is an asset
• Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems for order processing
• Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
• Familiarity with food and beverage service and hospitality industry standards
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Exceptional time management skills to ensure prompt service
• Strong team player, with a collaborative attitude
